Community Cooking Class

Taught by local chef Emily Aker, students will learn valuable skills such as budgeting for meals, knife skills, food safety education, add recipes to their database, and learn the basics of cooking. Each class is $5 and anyone in the community is welcome. The class will be held every Tuesday night from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM and a meal will follow. More than 90 photos were entered in the “Rare INdiana Finds” Instagram Photo Contest. Fifteen of those photos have been chosen for an exhibit that will open in January at Kennedy Library in Muncie. Participants were asked to snap a photo of something in nature they don’t see every day. The results were nothing short of breathtaking, from tiny frogs to large longhorns, delicate dewdrops to vibrant flowers.
