Eclipse: The Sun Revealed

August 12 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Friday and Saturday, repeating until August 19, 2017

Are you ready for the total solar eclipse of 2017? Although Muncie is not in the path of totality, the city will see the Moon block roughly 93% of the Sun’s surface. Come learn how to safely watch an eclipse, and about scientific discoveries that have been supported by total solar eclipses. This show also uses beautiful visuals to explore the historical and cultural view of solar and lunar eclipses, and explains the geometry that creates these awe-inspiring sights.

Arrive early as seating is done on a first-come, first served basis.

And YES, we still have solar eclipse viewers! Get them for $2 each from the Cooper Science Complex, room CP101 from 8:30am-5pm or before planetarium showtimes while supplies last!
