Ball State University’s School of Art will Saturday morning arts classes to children in grades 1-6. The classes will run 9:30-11:30 a.m every Saturday from Sept. 23 to Nov. 18 (with no classes Oct. 7 or Nov. 4). All classes will be in the Art and Journalism Building at Ball State. Taught by local chef Emily Aker, students will learn valuable skills such as budgeting for meals, knife skills, food safety education, add recipes to their database, and learn the basics of cooking. Each class is $5 and anyone in the community is welcome. The class will be held every Tuesday night from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM and a meal will follow.
