November First Thursday at Cornerstone Center for the Arts will feature Muncie artist, Christine Abercrombie. Abercrombie’s collection entitled “Origins” is an abstract exploration into color, texture, and design fueled by real life emotions and personal growth. The opening reception will be on Thursday, November 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
Abercrombie is an abstract painter, wife, mother, and local small business owner that has found profound healing, strength, and happiness through painting. She hopes to inspire others to dream, create, and act on what their soul loves to do.
She describes herself as an “intuitive” painter – producing pieces that do not begin with any particular plan or layout. She has added painting to her daily routine and considers it to be a way of meditation. Abercrombie describes her paintings as a work of passion; they are all about emotion and the importance of imagination and dreams to personal growth and cultivating love and positivity within herself, her family, and the world.
“Origins” will remain on display in the Cornerstone Art Gallery throughout the month of November.
