Heritage Gallery Glass

“This showcase celebrates glass—the fruit jars, insulators, bottles, and more that were made in East Central Indiana, and the crystal, paperweights, vases, and more that the people who lived here used,” said Director of Collections Karen Vincent. “Discover how the decidedly unglamorous ingredients of sand, limestone, and soda ash can be made into plainly utilitarian or uncommonly beautiful glass.”
Senior Free-Admission Day: Heritage Gallery “Glass” will be held at Minnetrista on Wednesday, August 17, with programs at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is FREE for seniors age 60 and older.
