Identity Influence and Power – The New Leadership Mindset
March 24, 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
To succeed in today’s economy, leaders need to create and authentically represent a strong sense of group identity. In this session we explore new research and question some old assumptions:
- Are traditional corporate structures the right shape for the 21st Century?
- Do we need new working models of leadership, given our need for talent development and innovation as sources of competitive advantage?
- What do the employees of today expect from their leaders?
- How can we leverage social media to enhance our sense of connection and group identity vs. a growing sense of isolation?
Increasingly, leaders’ influence comes not from their distance up the organizational hierarchy but from their level of connectivity to the people around them. Find out why now, more than ever, we need a diverse set of leaders and approaches in order to truly thrive.
