March 23, 2016 - March 31, 2016

NanoDays is part of a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering. NanoDays is organized by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Net), and takes place nationally from March 26 – April 3, 2016. This community-based event is the largest public outreach effort in nanoscale informal science education and involves science museums, research centers, and universities from Puerto Rico to Alaska.

On March 24th and 29th at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Ivy Tech’s Culinary Department will be experimenting with liquid nitrogen to make one of our favorite treats, ice cream.  On March 25th at 1p.m., join Indy Science Fun as they perform their Fun Science Spectacular Show.  They will choose absolutely the best science demonstrations from their three Convocation Shows in order to provide their most spectacular array of science experiences. You will be amazed!  On March 31st at 1 p.m., the Getting Excited About Science Show is coming to MCM.  Be ready to get inspired by science in this show full of demonstrations, humor, music, participation and fun!

In addition to these NanoDays activities, the Muncie Symphony Orchestra’s will be performing several fun and educational music programs. On March 25th, MSO’s Ball State Brass Quintet presents The Power of a Story.  Families will learn about brass instruments, opera selections, and other familiar pieces.  On March 26th, MSO’s Ball State Wind Quintet will be performing a variety of songs. On April 1st, the MSO’s Ball State String Quartet presents Music and Colors.
